Return of Awards celebrating better lives in Solihull
It's time to get nominating again for the Solihull Together awards. Now in their third year, these awards celebrate the achievements of individuals and organisations who are working together to make life better for adults in Solihull. Submit a nomination today and say thank you to people who deserve recognition for providing outstanding care and support.
This year’s awards focus on those people and organisations who provide care and support to adults in Solihull - particularly those who are vulnerable and frail.
The 11 award categories include two new categories this year. The Solihull Together Local Hero award recognises people who are making a difference to adults living in Solihull and are doing this work in an unpaid or voluntary capacity. The second new category, The Solihull Together Inspiring Leader award, recognises individuals who are making change happen, at any level of their organisation.
Dr Patrick Brooke, Accountable Officer for Solihull CCG and Chair of the Solihull Together Programme Board said: “It’s really exciting to see how these awards have grown since we established them in 2015. During the past two years the awards have helped to uncover many inspiring stories of people who are working hard to improve the lives of Solihull residents. As we launch the Solihull Together 2017 Awards I’m looking forward to hearing many more stories of outstanding and innovative work across the borough.
“In particular, this year, we want to hear about people and teams in the public, private and voluntary sectors who are making life better for vulnerable and frail adults in Solihull.”
Cllr Ken Meeson, Chair of Solihull’s Health and Wellbeing Board, and member of the Awards independent judging panel, added: “Please think about who you could nominate. Is there an unsung hero in your local community? Perhaps you, or a family member, have had a great experience of care and support which has made life better or easier. Or maybe you’ve received care from an individual, or team, who has gone the extra mile and provided an amazing service.”
